So you have done your homework, found the greatest pod mod for you (ideally Vuse), selected your favorite e-liquid flavors, and have been having the best vape experience till… Your vape starts to taste scorched all of a sudden. Don’t worry; you’re not alone; a burnt flavor is extremely frequent and can affect any vape pen. The good news is that there is an easy way to get rid of that burnt taste, and we’ll show you how. Simply follow these easy steps, and you’ll be back to enjoying your vaping in no time.

WHY DOES YOUR VAPE TASTE BURN?

You may occasionally get a burnt taste from your vape, regardless of the sort of device you’re using. What causes this to happen? The burned vapor cloud, on the other hand, can scratch the back of your throat, forcing you to cough. It’s not a nice sensation, and there are a variety of reasons why your vape tastes burned, but the good news is that it’s easy to avoid.

WHY CAN YOU GET A BURNT TASTE FROM VAPING?

You’re out of e-liquid.

If there isn’t enough e-liquid on the wick within your atomizer coil, it will burn. The wick is the part of your device that absorbs the e-liquid before the coil heats up and turns it into vapor. Because there is no liquid to evaporate, the heater begins to burn the wick, leaving an unpleasant burnt taste in your mouth (and ruins your vaping experience in the process). But that isn’t the only scenario. Another common reason for burning hits is…

Chain vaping

The most prevalent cause of burnt strikes is this. When you take many puffs in succession, your wick does not have enough time to absorb the e-liquid, causing it to dry out and burn. Put your vape pen down for a moment if you notice a slightly burnt flavor when you inhale to give the wick time to absorb extra e-liquid.

Incorrectly priming coils (Open System users only)

Before filling the tank with a fresh coil, you should take the time to properly prime the coil head. To ensure that the wick is fully saturated, soak it right before you start vaping on it. Because the wick is composed of dry cotton and is firmly compressed, it is less porous, so if you don’t prime it properly, you’ll wind up with a burnt taste in your mouth.

Your E-Juice is the Problem

Certain vape juices, especially ones with a high VG concentration or a lot of sugar, might clog up your coils and leave you with a burnt flavor. Because high-VG juice has a thicker viscosity, it is more difficult for your coil wick to absorb. Switch to a tank with a better wick or use a lower-VG juice, such as those with a VG below 70%.

Similarly, sweet vape fluids might be difficult for coil wicks to handle. Because of the high heat, the sugar in the e-liquid can caramelize, causing a build-up on the coils and making it practically impossible to absorb more juice effectively.

High power vaping (Open System users only)

Your e-liquid will vaporize too quickly if you vape at a wattage that is too high for your coil head. When this happens, the wick is unable to re-saturate rapidly enough, and the coil burns the wick, resulting in an unpleasant burnt flavor.

HOW CAN YOU GET RID OF THE BURNT TASTE WHEN YOU VAPE?

So, you’re sick of your vaping experience being disrupted by a burnt flavor – we get – so let’s dive into how you can simply eliminate a burnt taste from your vape pen.

Alter your vaping technique

As previously stated, taking many short, frequent puffs can cause the wick to dry out. Puffs should be longer and slower, with 15 to 20 seconds between each puff. This will provide the optimum vape experience by giving the atomizer or wick ample time to absorb enough liquid for your next inhale.

Avoid the cold

The viscosity of your e-liquid increases as the temperature drops. It gets more difficult for your e-liquid to flow easily into the atomizer or wick when it thickens. It’s ideal for keeping your items between 0 and 25 degrees Celsius for the optimum vaping experience.

Check your levels

Before each vape session, keep an eye on the amount of e-liquid in your pods to make sure you don’t run out.

TIPS FOR OPEN SYSTEM USERS TO GET RID OF THE BURNT TASTE

PRIME YOUR COILS

Priming your coils is an essential part of vaping preparation. It’s quick and easy to do:

  •
  • Apply 3-4 drops of your e-liquid directly to the wick of your fresh coil.
  • Set aside for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Attach the coil to your gadget.
  • Fill your tank with your chosen e-liquid
  • and screw it onto your vape
  • To help the liquid flow, inhale a few times (without the battery turned on).

PRIME YOUR REFILLABLE KITS

The technique is even simpler if you have a refillable kit rather than a vape tank with a replaceable coil head:

  1. Fill the device with the e-liquid of your choice.
  2. Allow 10 minutes for the juice to absorb into the gadget.
  3. To help the liquid flow, inhale a few times (without the battery turned on).

KEEP TO THE RECOMMENDED POWER

Your coils may be damaged if you vape at too high a wattage. If you’re using a variable wattage or voltage device, you should always stay within the suggested range to keep your vaping gadget in good working order. This information is printed on the side of your coil head or on the package of your vaporizer.

Consider updating your vape tank to one with a greater maximum wattage if you prefer vaping at a high intensity.
